Key points

  • Good value, general purpose disc
  • Tough, open coat aluminum oxide abrasive
  • Hook-and-loop discs are easy to attach, change and reuse
  • Hook-and-loop attachment resists dust, dirt and debris
  • Typically used on AOEM damp sanding applications on primers and e-coat
The 3M Hookit Paper Disc 210U is designed for light sanding and finishing applications with a random orbital sander on metal, wood, primer, paint, fiberglass and plastics. An open coat aluminum oxide abrasive resists loading and a hook and loop attachment system make it quick and easy to attach.

Long Life, Excellent Cut
Long life, excellent cut and a superior finish are the features that distinguish our 3M™ Hookit™ Paper Disc 210U. A tough aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a flexible A-weight paper backing make it a great choice for light sanding and paint prep. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are distributed on the backing less densely. Space between the grains helps evacuate dust and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. This allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would otherwise clog the disc and hinder sanding ability.

This disc is available several sizes including 3, 5 and 3 x 7/8-inch CWF in seven grades from P180 to P800 to suit a wide variety of tasks.

Secure to the Finish
3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature is a superior option in work spaces where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. It keeps the disc secure when tougher applications exert torque too great for a pressure sensitive adhesive backing. And, because you can so easily attach, remove and re-attach, the life of the disc is extended.
