Description
Spyder's Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) hole saws cut more materials (up to 5x faster), last longer (up to 10x more holes), and cut deeper (maximum cut depth of 6-1/4-in) than conventional bi-metal saws. TCT hole saws cut wood, concrete block, brick, fiber cement board, ceramic wall tile, PVC, and more (with a Mohs hardness of less than 6). This extended cutting depth makes Spyder's Deep Cut hole saws excellent for stacked materials, deeper cuts, and for drilling through brick and concrete block. Note: Spyder TCT Deep Cut hole saws use Hex11 arbors/pilots which do not feature Rapid Core Eject technology; they cannot cut at an angle or enlarge existing holes. For use in standard rotary drills. Do not use in hammer drill mode. Not recommended for harder, abrasive materials.
Best hole saw brand for drilling through mild, medium and hardened metal? Let's find out! Using a twist drill bit might not be the best option for large diameter holes. Why not use a bi-metal or carbide tooth hole saw? Hole saws compared for speed, accuracy of hole size, durability, and price. Brands tested: Diablo, Milwaukee Hole Dozer, MK Morse, Irwin, DeWalt 2x, Dewalt Impact Ready, DeWalt Carbide, Lenox, TCT Carbide, Milwaukee Shockwave, Drill Hog, and Bosch HB100. I bought all of the hole saws tested. No sponsors for free products from manufacturers.
