Keep the handle - replace the blade! An ideal tool for making half-round sunken, concave jointers along long walls and large projects. The 14" Hubbard Sled Runner's distinctive design allows for one tool to create three different concave joint sizes by switching out the blade. Concave joint creates a tight seal in the mortar to resist water penetration, the most popular joint in the United States. High quality case-hardened steel blade for durability. The jointer comes assembled with a 3/4" blade connected to the cast aluminum base. Wear is distributed during use by simply revolving the tubular steel blade. As the case-hardened tubular steel blade wears out it can be replaced while keeping the handle. A 7/16" (12mm) socket wrench is needed to adjust and change the blade. The 6-3/4" long wood handle provides a comfortable grip. Polished steel makes smooth joints every time. Replacement blade sizes include the popular joint sizes of 5/8" (BL285), 3/4" (BL287), and 7/8" (BL288), all sold separately.
