The 3M™ Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator. This facepiece combines comfort, durability, and stability. The proprietary quick latch design offers an easy, one-hand touch drop-down mechanism for putting the facepiece on and/off while moving in and out of contaminated areas.

First, adjust the head cradle for the most comfortable fit on your head. Next, position the respirator over your mouth and nose with one hand while pulling harness over the crown of your head with the other.
Positive pressure seal check: Using the palm of your hand, cover the exhalation valve and gently exhale. The face piece of the respirator should bulge slightly, however, if air leaks through the face seal reposition and adjust the respirator to ensure the seal is secure.
Second, Grab the bottom straps and hook them together at the back of the neck.
Using Particulate Filters: With your thumbs, restrict airflow by covering the center of the filter with your thumb and then inhale gently. If done correctly, the face piece should collapse in towards your face. If air enters in between your face and the seal, simply readjust the respirator and make adjustments for a more secure seal.
Third, pull the ends of the straps to find the right amount of tightness. Start adjusting the head cradle first then the adjust the points at the back of the neck. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not over-tighten. You may release tension by pushing outward on the back side of the buckles.
Using Hard Case Particulate Filters: With your hands, squeeze the filter covers with your hands towards the facepiece to impede airflow while taking care not adjust the position of the respirator. Breathe in gently and the face piece should collapse inward. If air enters in between your face and the seal, simply readjust the respirator and make adjustments for a more secure seal.
Opening the Quick Latch: Holding the latch at chin level, pull upwards. It’s open! Closing the Quick Latch: Hold the face piece with your thumb on the bottom of the face piece and your first two fingers on top of the Quick Latch. Position the face piece over your nose and mouth while simultaneously pushing down upon the latch.
Using Cartridges: Using the palms of your hands cover the cartridges and breathe in gently. The face piece should collapse in towards your face. If air enters in between your face and the seal, simply readjust the respirator and make adjustments for a more secure seal.
